That’s tough, I love the ES, and this one looks pretty clean, but while I’m an automatic apologist, I don’t trust old ones, and especially not in cars that weren’t exactly brimming with horsepower in the first place. I bet my 22,000 could get me something I’d enjoy more.

Yeah, based on the description, that sounds fair to me. I’d rather have a stick, but that’s a nice car. A/C, too.

Yeah, that where I come down as well. 22 grand gets you a sports car with an airbag, and I like safety.

Yeah, even without airbags modern cars are so much safer (and of course likely perform far better as well). It’s sad though, because I mean, just look at it...
But when you could pick up a reasonably nice C30 for a third of the price, and get better performance, handling, safety, and still end up with a glass hatch, it becomes difficult to justify the P1800ES on anything other than looks.

Interesting that you say that - I’ve always thought that, if we had to move out of the city, the C30 would be the solution. Autobox, so the SigOther could drive it. Perfect car for 2 people who don’t go much of anywhere.

You couldnt pay me to drive an automatic with less than 4 gears. Looks nice though.

I think you’re certainly closer to the value than the owner is ....
